Heart of the Valley Children's Choir
Heart of the Valley Children's Choir was established in 1984 by two music teachers. Today, the choir supports the music education and personal growth of over 300 children from Benton, Linn and Marion Counties from 2nd through 12th grades. This extended music supports, and is in partnership with, the music education of the local public school districts. For over 30 years, Heart of the Valley Children’s Choir has had the opportunity to sing in many wonderful places throughout the world, perform with other talented choirs and singers, and be educated and directed by some amazing directors. It is through the support of our local community, parents, families, alumni, and singers that we are able to do what we love to do; MUSIC.

Their sound is a unique Hawaiian blend of voices and music consisting of piano, guitars, ukuleles, bass guitar, and drums. Their Ohana consists of 4 generations which is led by Mae and Neal Leslie Sr. Their motto is: ALOHA KE AKUA, which means GOD IS LOVE.

LBCC Chamber Choir
This is the vocal chamber ensemble at Linn-Benton Community College. These 20 singers are selected based on audition and perform works from across the choral repertoire. This ensemble has represented LBCC in several festivals, locally and internationally. In 2010 the ensemble received 2nd place in the American Prize for Choral Performance, the only community college ensemble to receive a national ranking and was again the only community college finalist in 2014. In 2012 the ensemble performed as part of the Summer Olympic festivities in London. In 2014 the ensemble won the World Championship--Mixed Chamber Choir Division and 2nd place in the Music Sacra a cappella division at the 8th World Choir Games.

The director is Raymund Ocampo, a conductor with experience leading choirs of different age levels and talents. He is equally comfortable directing youth choirs, symphonic choruses, and high-level ensembles. Raymund began his appointment as Music Faculty and Director of Choral Studies at Linn-Benton Community College in the Fall of 2015. At Linn-Benton, he conducts the award winning Chamber Choir and the Concert Choir in addition to teaching courses in Music Appreciation, Theory and Music Fundamentals. With the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, Raymund Ocampo served as the Bonita L. Bass Memorial Assistant Conductor. Terra Patton and John Shumway
John has been playing the guitar since the 60's with the Beatles as an early influence. His first acoustic guitar performance was in the 70's. He co-wrote and recorded an album in the early 80's with the recording group "Foxfire" and was part of the dance band "Impulse" in the late 90's in the Portland area. Returning to acoustic guitar, he enjoys accompanying others and performing solo at varied public venues interpreting classic contemporary music.

Terra Patton knew she wanted to be a singer at a very early age. At age 15 she began singing professionally as Terra Lee. She sang with many local country bands. She performed in many venues including county fairs, country music festivals and competitions. At age 16 she signed a contract to record 4 original country songs. She then starred in her own music video for the lead single. Over the years, she has recorded other demos for local song writers. When Terra finished her education, she married her high school sweetheart and started a family. After joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she focused on singing in church meetings and local events as a soloist and participating in choirs.

Terra Patton and John Shumway combine their talents as a vocal-guitar duo to provide a unique interpretation on some traditional and not-so traditional Christmas music.
